# Become a builder

## An open DAO

JusticeDAO is committed to maintaining an open volunteer policy. Anyone can join and assist in any area of interest defined by the DAO Foundation, such as protocol, development, community, governance, and more.

Unlike traditional workplaces, JusticeDAO is also open to anonymous volunteers ("anons"). New volunteers do not need to submit resumes or any other identifying materials. The DAO's openness to new volunteers without substantial reputations forms the foundation of its volunteer onboarding structure.

For volunteers who already have an online reputation, they can apply to become a volunteer by filling out the information on the official website under [Become a builder](/justicedao-whitepaper/become-a-builder.md).

For volunteers with lower or no online reputation, they can introduce themselves on the JusticeDAO [Telegram](https://t.me/JusticeDAOGroup) and become familiar with all the important information and rules of the DAO. New volunteers should also reach out to active volunteers on [Telegram](https://t.me/JusticeDAOGroup) to determine what help the DAO needs or propose new goals. Project coordination typically takes place in the JusticeDAO workspace.

## Trial

New volunteers who have completed some work and are familiar with the ongoing efforts of the DAO will be encouraged to undertake some trial work. This trial work will be assessed and evaluated by the DAO as a final step in the volunteer onboarding process. This evaluation helps ensure that the volunteer's skills and contributions align with the DAO's goals and standards, fostering a productive and effective collaboration within the DAO community.

## Recurring

New volunteers who have successfully completed one or more trial tasks are encouraged to take on regular responsibilities within the DAO. These roles should provide a detailed description of duties, task-based objectives, and long-term goals. These regular responsibilities will also be subject to final assessment and evaluation by the DAO to ensure that the volunteer's contributions align with the DAO's mission and objectives. This structured approach helps integrate new volunteers into the DAO's ongoing efforts and ensures that their work is meaningful and valuable.
